This mum’s amazing viral trick will combat sandy toes after a beach trip

This is genius.

Mum's viral TikTok hack for removing sand from feet

A socially-distanced trip to the beach is wonderful, isn't it? Getting back to nature, the smell of suncream, having a dip in the sea and, of course, fish, chips and ice cream (not on the same plate, though, obvs.)

But there's one thing that nobody truly enjoys about the beach, and that's sand. It gets EVERYWHERE. In your eyes, under your clothing, in between your toes and in your car. Not ideal.

Previously, we've had to grit and bear it, but with TikTok user steph_scheff's mummy hack, we no longer need to suffer.

The video, which shows her easily brushing sand from her child's feet, has gone viral, with over 270,000 views. In it, she uses baby powder to cover the child's foot, before easily brushing it away, leaving it clean and sand-free.

She explains, "Always have baby powder in the car for beach trips... You don’t want all this sand coming in your car, so sprinkle it on the area that has the sand and it comes right off. Look, no more sand. And it smells good."

The baby powder absorbs the moisture in the sand that makes it stick, letting it be brushed away easily. Genius. According to the comments, if you don't have baby powder on hand or wish not to use it, corn starch will also do the trick, as well talc-free baby powder.

Here are some talc and talc-free options, if you want to stock up:

Now we've got the sand issue done and dusted, let's talk the next annoying problem - chafing. Whatever your body size or shape, no one is immune to chafing and it can really put a dampener on a glorious hot day.

Thankfully for us, Love Island star and all round mega babe, Malin Andersson, revealed the £13 anti-chafing cream she swears by and it's definitely worth shouting about.

The iRELIEF by iVYVERDURE anti-chafing stick is 100% vegan and promises to prevent chafing, saddle sores, rashes, blisters, dry and cracking skin.

The reality star shared a photo of herself using the product, writing, "Surviving the summer with this bad boy @ivyverdure took this anti chafing stick to Turkey & MY THIGHS ARE THANKING ME NOW! 🤣🤣". It's going straight in our basket.
