In an exclusive interview with Metro.co.uk, the woman, who must remain anonymous to protect Venables' anonymity, revealed she was "seduced by the devil," and only recently found out that she'd actually dated him.

After their one-time meeting in 2013, the woman was left feeling slightly unnerved by Venables, but couldn't quite put her finger on what it was about him that didn't feel right.

But after illegal pictures of Venables along with his new identity surfaced online following his 40-month imprisonment for possession of 1,200 child abuse images and a paedophile manual, the woman recognised him as the man she'd once shared a kiss with.

She told the publication that she first met Venables, of course having no idea who he really was, on the bus after noticing each other for a few weeks.

She revealed that although she'd had a boyfriend at the time, Venables had "made it clear" that he was interested in her, and that she liked him because "he was very confident, even obnoxious, and had a very dark sense of humour."

After going out for a drink together, the woman reveals she soon started to see Venables' true nature.

She said: "It started off with normal post-date chat, he said he had a great time and wanted to see me again at his place. But I had a boyfriend at the time and he started demanding I finish with him, when I would not he started threatening me."

She added that he would make her and her boyfriend feel very uncomfortable whenever they saw each other, adding that he was very "political" and "argumentative."

On a later social occasion with some friends, she says that they were disagreeing over Jeremy Corbyn, and that was when she became scared of him: "He came up really close to me and started shouting at me and said, 'You don’t know who I am'."

"It unnerved me a bit but I just thought I was glad nothing more had happened between us when we went on our date."

But after the illegal pictures of Venables surfaced, the woman then realised what Venables had really meant by that.

She said: "I felt sick when I was told, it still has not sunk in, he was just so average, he didn’t scream 'child killer'.

"Our circle of friends are in shock, we have known him for years, people have introduced him to their children."

She also adds that "everything is falling into place" now that she's put two and two together, that everything she found "weird" about him now "makes total sense."

She reveals that he was "vague about his childhood," that it was odd he had to meet his parents in a "random" town despite his clearly suppressed Liverpudlian accent and that he was not on social media.

The woman even knows his fiancée, and cornered her when she made the discovery: "We cannot believe she is standing by him, finding out he had child porn should have been enough, but to find out he is Jon Venables and still stick by him is just unthinkable."
