Mattel Games Classic ScrabbleAmazon
Price: £48.68

Scrabble is an absolute classic. It's also a good way to test each other's vocabulary.

We love Connect 4 it starts off pretty calm but then it turns very competitive as you approach four in a row.

Uno is an absolute classic but this one comes with an electronic launcher just to mix it up a bit. This one also comes with an exclusive extreme hit card, that we absolutely need.

Jenga is probably the most tense game on here but that's why we love it. Will you or the other player make the tower tumble? This is a great game for all ages too, so we'd definitely recommend if you're playing with your little one.

We know that this is well known as a kids game but seriously, is anyone too old for Guess Who? It's a great game and can last a long time if you pick a difficult character to guess.

Talking Tables Mixologist Cocktail GameJohn Lewis

The aim of this game is to make your way around the board, collecting ingredients and components to win. You don't have to drink while you're playing it, but why not?

If you have a few hours to spare then Monopoly is the one game that WILL last the duration. It's one of the games where if you're winning you're on top of the world but if you're losing you're tempted to chuck the game across the room.

What to do during self-isolation?

As well as playing board games you can use this self-isolation time to pick up a new hobby.

Whether that's working out at home with a fitness DVD or toning your legs with a stepper machine, or reading inspiring books about powerful women, nows the time to focus on you.

You can also treat yourself to camping equipment for your garden if you fancy a romantic staycation with your significant other, or a sex toy for some self-isolation fun.

Also as it's payday remember Gemma Collins has dropped a meme inspired collection with In The Style and honestly we're obsessed with everything. From her "I'm claustrophobic Darren" jumper to her "I Just Wanna Be Me" t-shirt.
