Who doesn't love a little nosey nose around someone else's house? Especially when said house is home to a dozen or so hot Islanders AKA the Winter Love Island villa? AKA our spiritual home for the rest of winter.

The return of Winter Island is just around the corner (16 January), but unfortunately, if you were planning to go and scope out the new digs like some super-fan after our own heart prior to filming, you'll need to hop on a plane that can transport you 5,000 miles south pretty swiftly, as the new super villa is located in South Africa. What? You weren't expecting it to be in Southend-on-Sea in January were you?

And when we say super villa, we are not playing. ITV have SERIOUSLY splashed out on these digs as the new property is reported to be the largest and swankiest yet.

And we've found it on Instagram ✌️.

The summer villas change every series, but are almost always filmed in and around Majorca. However, when Winter Love island launched in January 2020, production set up shop somewhere a tad warmer, opting for somewhere outside of Europe – Cape Town, South Africa (which is hot af in January, FYI).

After a three-year hiatus Winter Love Island is back in South Africa and setting up shop in a villa that would make Christine from Selling Sunset blush (probably not, but it is BIG).

According to MailOnline, "The new supersized luxury eco-retreat (it generates its own electricity, water and numerous food sources) boasts stunning mountain views and is nestled away in a 'protected area' in the heart of the Franschhoek wine valley in South Africa's 'millionaire row'."

It also has its own zip-wire, which has cheesy af challenge written all over it.

The millionaire row is the super, super, SUPER wealthy area of Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa, as it is home to the highest concentration of millionaires in the country.

The new villa is surrounded by palm trees and boasts one of the biggest pools we have ever seen. When it's not being used to film our favourite series, guests can stay at the retreat for £430 a night – per room. We've heard rumours that ITV bosses have forked out a whopping £1.2m to film Winter Live Island at the luxury retreat over the next few weeks.

Winter Love Island is set to begin on ITV2 on Monday 16 January and will be hosted by Maya Jama, following Laura Whitmore's departure from the show late last year.
