ITV have announced that I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! favourite Vernon Kay will be joining the This Morning family as a guest host.
Vernon, who took third place on the 2020 series of I'm A Celeb, will be hosting alongside Rochelle Humes next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday while Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby continue to enjoy their summer holidays.
Speaking of his new role Vernon said, "This Morning is the daytime go to show, so to be asked to guest host on a show I've watched since its inception is a huge tick for me," Vernon said.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Rochelle and sitting on that famous sofa."

"This week will provide a great mix of talent for our viewers," This Morning's editor Martin Frizell said. "Vernon is familiar with being a guest on our sofa but I'm sure he'll be just as great hosting the show live for two and a half hours too."
This Morning is reportedly experiencing it’s highest viewing figures in 14 years, after Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes’ Friday slot was given to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
After the announcement was made Alison faced online abuse, allegedly turning down the role to begin with over tokenism fears.

"Alison is a tough cookie, but the vitriol from some so-called fans of This Morning has been impossible for her to ignore," said an ITV insider. "As a result of Love Island and Jeremy Kyle tragedies, ITV are very serious about duty of care and arranged to sit down with Alison to see how she was coping."
"Alison confided that while the Friday gig is her dream come true, staying positive had become a battle. She was given advice on how to stay strong mentally and prepared for what to expect after the announcement was confirmed."
