Essex lad Ricky Rayment, who starred on the show between 2012 and 2015, was a part of the golden days of TOWIE. From fighting with Joey Essex at Gemma Collins' clothes shop opening to his on/off relationship with Jess Wright, Ricky's time on TOWIE is definitely memorable.

However, since stepping back from the show and reality TV in general, Ricky has found himself a fishy new career. Yep, Ricky is basically now an expert in fish and owns clothing brand Filthy Hooker as well as Crowsheath Fishery (a big lake).

Ricky also runs his own angling Instagram account and has even appeared on the cover of Angling Times and competed on ITV4's The Big Fish Off. Pretty big deal in the fishing world, FYI.

Ricky also recently went public with his new relationship with Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn after they met on a cruise.

Why did Ricky Rayment leave TOWIE?

Ricky had a good stint on the ITVBe reality show and appeared in season 4 right up until season 14, but he walked away in 2015 following his messy break-up with Jess Wright.

Even though he's got a new career, Ricky admitted that he does get nostalgic for the days of TOWIE, telling a fishing magazine, "If I watch it or someone sends me a picture of an old episode I think, 'Aw, I really miss that'".

What happened between Ricky Rayment and Jess Wright?

Ricky and Jess' turbulent relationship dominated many episodes of TOWIE, with the pair both confessing to cheating and endless arguments about whether Ricky was ready to settle down and be 'a man' of the Wright family.

In 2015, after trying to give things another go, Jess was left heartbroken when she confronted Ricky after she found him messaging other women on social media.

What happened between Ricky Rayment and Marnie Simpson?

After leaving TOWIE, Ricky started dating Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson and they fell for each other HARD.

Ricky then flew out to Majorca in June the same year, where Marnie and the rest of the Geordie Shore crew were filming, to PROPOSE. Cue VERY awkward pause while Marnie considered his proposal, with basically the rest of the reality TV world weighing in. It was all very messy and they split in September 2015.

Who is Ricky Rayment's girlfriend?

Ricky Rayment is currently dating former Coronation Street Katie McGlynn. They went public on Valentine's Day when they posted a loved-up selfie with the caption, "Every day is like Valentine’s Day with you ♥️.”

In a recent interview with OK!, Katie said of their relationship, "We’d both spent most of our adult lives being single; I think we preferred to be alone rather than with someone who wasn’t right - but it’s definitely been worth the wait!”

Ricky added, "It’s been a bit of a whirlwind - it wasn’t planned - but we’re very similar. We think the same way, we laugh a lot, we both like the outdoors life. It was meant to be."

What is Ricky Rayment's job?

Ricky owns the Crowsheath Lakes fishery, as well as a clothing business called Filthy Hooker. Opening up about his new venture to OK!- which is very different from reality TV, Ricky said, "Fishing is my business and my passion. I came off TOWIE and was doing bits and pieces on tv but it wasn't something that really fueled the fire in my belly.

"I've always loved fishing and being next to water, enjoying the outdoors - I’m a water baby at heart - and I started fishing years ago with my dad and kept it up, going to a local lake. Then the chance came up to buy into that business and it’s been the best decision of my life. I've been so much happier and had clearer vision. I’ve been more focused."
