Love Island’s Ovie Soko set to join This Morning

Job offers are coming in thick and fast for this year’s Love Islanders

First Amy Hart was offered a guest spot on the prestigious Loose Women panel, and then Maura Higgins was invited to act as agony aunt on the show’s sister programme, This Morning.

The latest Islander to enter into the ITV daytime fold will be Ovie Soko, who’s bringing is famous cooking skills to the This Morning kitchen with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford – who are filling in for usual hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield while they’re off on their summer holidays.

Amy is the 26-year-old Islander from Sussex who has never had a boyfriend before.She worked as an air hostess and cabin crew manager for British Airways for eight years.On launch night, Amy announced on Instagram that she had left her old job to "start a new adventure."Amy has also taken part in beauty pageants and was crowned Miss United Kingdom in the Miss Beautiful International Pageant in 2017.

Ovie, who placed third in this year’s series alongside stunning model India Reynolds, earned himself legions of fans with his good looks, gentlemanly charm and thoughtful gestures – including making the Islanders a slap up breakfast each morning – and so he’s been invited onto the show to cook brunch for “daytime royalty” Ruth and Eamonn.

“Message! Cooking onThis Morning is going to be dope, but I’ll need to graft hard if my infamous eggs are to live up to the hype for Love Island fans Eamonn and Ruth. They’re daytime royalty after all,” he said.

And an ITV insider said, “Here at This Morning we pride ourselves on nurturing and developing new talent. Ovie was undoubtedly one of the most popular Islanders this year and so we’re thrilled to have him on the show as a brand new guest chef.”

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, first runners up and early favourites to win will also feature on Friday’s show for an interview.
