Former TOWIE star turned country singer Megan McKenna has joined the inked girls club and fans have branded her tattoo “insane.”

What else did you expect from one of the most iconic reality TV stars EVER? Yeah, we said it.

Megan shot to fame in 2015 when she starred on Ex on the Beach alongside now ex-boyfriend Jordan Davies. Known for being a bit of a hothead during her reality TV days, she even received a warning for aggressive behaviour when she was a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother.

But 2023 sees a much more subdued version of the Essex born cowgirl as she travels the world, promoting her music and generally living her best life.

From Celebrity Masterchef and Celebs on the Farm to The Only Way is Essex and Celebs Go Dating, Megan has taken part in nearly as many reality TV shows as her ex-fella, Pete Wicks. However, singing and country music has always been Megan’s forte - so, when she unveiled her first ever tattoo it made total sense.

Taking her Instagram followers with her, Megan added the caption, “Cowgirl's first ink 🖤,” as she shared a snap of her finger being tattooed on her story and also tagged the London-based tattoo artist.

Just a few hours later, Megan unveiled her cutie little tattoo much to the delight of her fans who loved the tiny heart design and the "yeehaw" typewriter script.

As much as Megan's first ever ink was most certainly a crowd-pleaser, some fans were also horrified by how painful the tattoo must have been.

One follower commented "INSANE" with another declaring, "Most painful place ever to get a tattoo 😩" which, when we think about it we are sure isn't quite correct, we can imagine MUCH more painful places to be inked.

Another fan wrote, "Cowgirl for life cored up country :) x," with one adding to the country theme, "Very nice miss cowgal ye ha ❤️."

Megan has come a long way since her reality TV stint and recently announced that she will be performing at the Country to Country festival in London come March alongside side some country music superstars.

Updating her fans on social media, Megan she told her followers she has "waited years to be on this line up."
