As much as we're loving the newer series of Love Island, we can't help but reminisce about the good old days.
Remember during the 2015 series when Jon Clark proposed to Hannah Elizabeth? Or Love Island 2016 when Malin Andersson returned to confront Terry Walsh? And who could forget the smoking area where all the tea was spilled?
While the smoking area has been banned from the villa (probably because of all the Ofcom complaints), the Islanders are still allowed to smoke but the rules have changed slightly.
When we caught up with Love Island 2023 star Zara Lackenby-Brown she revealed which one of her cast members smoked in the villa.
"Quite a few of the Islanders vape. I believe Shaq [Muhammad] and Tanyel [Revan] vape and Ellie [Spence] smokes," she exclusively told Closer Online.
She then went on to add, "So to vape or smoke and have a break, you have to ask/request it and then you go outside the villa - just to the front door. You stand there with one of the producers or runners and you have your few minutes.
"Then you go back [into the villa] by yourself."
And Zara's friend-turned-enemy Olivia Hawkins also revealed a few more of their fellow Islanders who smoked, "Will [Young] and Samie [Elishi]."
"Claudia [Fogarty] did. Keanan [Brand] did. And then there were others that would sneak a little vape when they weren't supposed to," Maxwell Samuda told Kiss Fresh.
Olivia added, "They used to argue on who could vape first and I think Will would always get there first and he'd be out there for a long time, wouldn't he?
"On the challenges I would take theirs... You have to declare it so I'd be sneakily trying to have a bit of Samie's on the challenge."
Who would have thought?
During Love Island 2022 only Davide Sanclimenti smoked in the villa and Adam Collard vaped. Once again though, none of this aired on TV.
Honestly, you learn something new every day.
