The Real Housewives of Cheshire’s newest cast member Katie Alex has only just joined the show, but it seems she’s set to take centre stage of the storylines very soon thanks to her unusual connection to co-star Lauren Simon.
It turns out that Katie’s husband Mason previously dated Lauren, with the flame-haired Housewife even describing the newcomer’s man as her first love.
Following the premiere of season 15, their fellow Housewife Nicole Sealey has teased “great drama” between Katie and Alex and, frankly, we can’t wait to see it on our screens.
Chatting exclusively to Closer online, Nicole said, “People will see that story develop, because there was more to it than just someone previously having a boyfriend.
“I won’t say any more than that because I don’t want to give it away, but when people actually see the whole series they will see that there's a little more to it.
“It was obviously a strange one, but it’s made for great drama.”
She continued, “Everybody that joins is always welcome, I think that goes without saying. It’s good to have an open mind.
“I’d heard about Mason via Lauren, but I’d never met Mason or Katie before. Lauren’s a friend of mine, so I knew more of the history than some of the other girls.
“Did Katie get on with everyone? On the whole, yes.”
As for her own relationships with the other Housewives, Nicole admitted she reached "breaking point" this season amid tensions with her co-stars.
In the trailer for the season, Nicole was seen telling Rachel Lugo, "I'm sick of being your punching bag," and she explained the reason behind the confrontation.
"All the girls know I can take a fair amount, but you see throughout the series there was a little bit of a breaking point where you just think that's sort of enough," Nicole told us.
"I don't think [Rachel and I] have had too many ding dongs along the way. We say what we've got to say and we're usually okay."
