His year off from work has done him a world of good

After two years since he last appeared on ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway, Ant McPartlin has been'confirmed' to be returning to the hit show, alongside his best friend Declan Donnelly.

The fan-favourite programme, which is reportedly returning early next year, took a hiatus last year, following Ant taking time away from TV.

Saturday Night Takeaway

Dec had continued to present the last two shows of the previous series by himself, but ITV bosses took the decision to rest the show, as “neither Ant and Dec nor ITV wanted to compromise the quality of the show”.

A source told The Mirror, “There’s a real buzz around the show. It promises to be bigger and better than ever. As much as Dec did a great job on his own, it just wasn’t the same without Ant".

And it's good news for I'm A Celebrity fans as it has also been reported that Ant has already returned to the hit show and has started filming.
