Former TOWIE star Pete Wicks definitely has a chequered past when it comes to his love life, after romancing the likes of Jess Wright, Megan McKenna, Shelby Tribble and Chloe Sims on the ITVBe show.
The reality star has previously been branded a “love rat” following some past, ahem, indiscretions and it appears that title has started making the rounds again after Pete was spotted with a series of women while supporting best pal Sam Thompson in Australia recently.
Most notably, Pete sparked romance rumours with former EastEnders star and Sam’s I’m A Celeb campmate Danielle Harold when they were pictured getting cosy at a beach club. But, according to Pete, there were also rumours linking him with other women and it all started from an unlikely source.
Speaking to Sam on the latest episode of their podcast, Staying Relevant, Pete explained, “Obviously, since you've been in the jungle, I seem to have picked up the old mantle of love rat, as everyone thinks that not only did I shag Zara, but I was shagging everyone's wife and girlfriend whilst you were in the jungle.
“But I think Lorraine might have started that, because the segment that I did on Lorraine talking about you in the jungle was just after a segment called love rats…”
Pete were spotted partying with soap star Danielle at a swanky beach club in the Gold Coast after she left the jungle, with onlookers saying they “acted like a couple”.
One commented, “Danielle and Pete were incredibly cosy. They were cuddling a lot and were very tactile. They acted like a couple.
“Danielle seemed very happy with Pete and at one point jumped on his back.”
They told The Sun, “They posed for pictures together, too. They looked good together.”
It’s thought that Pete had been spending time with Danielle’s mum and stepdad in the lead up to her eviction.
When asked about her relationship with Pete, Danielle said, “I know Pete from outside.
“Me and Sam are incredibly close and I said to him that Pete and my mum were going to get on like an absolute house on fire.”
While Pete is known for being a ladies’ man, he hasn’t been in a public relationship since splitting from Megan McKenna in 2017. Three years later, it came to light that Pete had been secretly sleeping with co-star Chloe Sims for two years after their friendship crossed the line into romance.
Danielle, who played Lola Pearce on EastEnders until earlier this year when her character was killed off after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, has largely kept her love life out of the public eye. She has, however, been linked to co-stars Jamie Borthwick and Bobby Brazier.
Danielle confirmed she was single before heading into the jungle as she admitted, “I am single and no I am not looking for love!"
