We know what you're thinking, isn't it about time TOWIE legend Joey Essex popped up on another reality series? It's been months since his cameo on Selling Sunset and his main character storyline on Love Island 2024, and quite frankly, we're thirsty for more.
Rumours of Joey joining his cousins as a cast member on House of Sims (the Sims' spin-off series for OFTV) have been swirling, well, since we first learned the show was in production, and as of yet, no Joey, despite him spending a LOT of time with his cousins Chloe Sims in LA in recent months.
Those who watch the show will know that last series, Chloe and her brother Charlie had a massive falling out with Frankie and Demi, with Chloe going on to dub her sisters 'evil users'. Frankie and Demi then dramatically fled the US and permanently moved back to Essex.
As far as we can tell this rift is still very much rifting, but a third series is still rumoured to be in the works. Somehow - bit tricky to film a show all about British reality stars coming to LA when half of them have got back on the plane to Blighty...
Unless, of course, cousin Joey steps in as a cast member, and given that he's just revealed that he's moving to LA in 2025 and has some 'exciting US-based projects' in the works, we can't help but wonder if Chloe and Joey will be reunited on-screen again in no time.
Speaking on Sofia Franklyn's Sofia with an F podcast last month, Joey confirmed, 'Yes [I am going to move to LA]. Next year, yeah.'
He continued, 'I love New York, but it depends where life takes me. If I started getting paid in Miami, or had a job in LA or New York, and that's where I should be, then that's where I'd go. But I feel like at the moment the direction is pointing at LA. There's more there for me, I've made a lot of friends there, I know it.'
Joey then partially spilled the beans about a few exciting stateside projects, telling Sofia, 'There's a few projects in the pipeline for next year. I can't say anything really, but them projects are exciting. I don't know whether they're going to be filmed in LA, but wherever they're filmed it's going to be a US-based project.'
We might be reaching a tad here (which is totally out of character for us), but to us, this makes a LOT of sense.
WATCH: From Joey Essex entering the Love Island villa to lots (and lots and lots) of TOWIE love drama, 2024 has provided some jaw-dropping celeb moments. Which one surprised you the most?
