As regular Closer readers will know, we’re huge fans of TOWIE – so we were very excited when it came to light that Ella Rae Wise would be appearing on the current series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Just before entering the house, Ella revealed she was single once again after splitting from Dan Edgar and it’s been heavily rumoured that she could strike up a romance with Love Island’s Chris Hughes.
Now, the real reason that Ella signed up for CBB has reportedly been revealed – and it’s got nothing to do with her love life.
According to reports, Ella is hoping that her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house will give her fashion brand BEMEÈ a boost.
‘Her fashion line got off to a really good start when it launched and all her celeb mates modelled it for her - but now the website’s disappeared and nobody has posted on the social media for weeks and weeks,’ a source told The Sun.
‘She’s hoping CBB will give her business a boost and sell some clothes!’
It’s also been revealed that Ella is reportedly taking home a £20,000 fee for taking part in CBB, which is said to be the lowest of any of this year’s housemates.
Let’s be honest though, 20 grand is definitely not to be sniffed at.
Ella recently opened up about splitting from Dan just days before leaving Essex for Big Brother, admitting that ‘something was missing’ from their relationship.
She said, ‘We are not together. And it's really, really sad that we're not together. We split up a week ago.
‘It has nothing to do with Big Brother. It was a decision that I had to make because I didn't feel that we were getting things that we wanted out of each other.’
