They’re currently going strong on the latest series of TOWIE, so we were shocked earlier this week when we learned that Ella Rae Wise had called time on her relationship with Dan Edgar shortly before going into isolation ahead of her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
Ella confirmed the news in an interview, admitting that ‘something was missing’ and she ‘wasn’t able to change Dan’.
She’s now in the CBB house alongside Love Island lothario Chris Hughes, and fans have been speculating that they could grow close. They’ve already shared a few flirty moments, which have reportedly left Dan ‘blindsided’.
In her VT, Ella claimed, ‘I could literally float with a loaf of bread. I could flirt with anything. I'm flirting with the camera,’ and according to a source close to Dan, the comments ‘weren’t nice’ for him to hear.
Dan’s pal told The Sun, ‘They were still chatting after the big row on Wednesday as had both agreed it just wasn’t working. But everything was pretty amicable.
‘They were just chatting as normal, the odd text and that, and spoke on Sunday just before she went into lockdown.’
They added, ‘But he was blindsided by the comments she made about being such a flirt last night, and how she flirted with everyone constantly, as that’s just not nice to hear.’
Speaking about her reasons for breaking up with Dan, Ella previously told the publication, ‘It has nothing to do with Big Brother. It was a decision that I had to make because I didn't feel that we were getting things that we wanted out of each other.
‘We can be best friends, but if something's missing, what are we wasting our time for?'
She continued, ‘I just feel that he's very set in his ways and I can't change someone and I can't expect someone to change either.
‘And if he's comfortable in how he is and if he thinks what he gives in a relationship is enough, that's okay because that can be enough for someone. But it's just not enough for me.’
