Sometimes – doing this job – we are lucky enough to utter that old cliche, 'Can you believe we get paid for this?' Like when you're working in between Christmas and New Year and your boss asks you to listen to the latest episode of Saving Grace (GK Barry's iconic podcast) because TOWIE's Amy Childs is the latest celeb guest – all in the name of hard day's work. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

Unsurprisingly, the podcast was 53 minutes and 10 seconds of pure hilarity and throwback bliss. How were we not going to enjoy listening to two of our all-time fave gals natter about everything we talk about for almost an hour?

Also, unsurprisingly, Amy spilled a fair amount of tea, and of course, we were slurping it off the floor because Amy Childs spilled it. In addition to talking about how some of her castmates are getting on now following the dramatic af series 32, Amy opened up about her early years of fame and the huge reality shows she shot down at the time because she basically ruled UK showbiz back then. Oh, to be the Queen of Essex. Long may she reign – in fact, she has.

While discussing her now iconic stint on Celebrity Big Brother – with the likes of Tara Reid and Jedward – in 2011 (in the early days of her TOWIE fame) Amy revealed that she turned down not one but two HUGE reality shows back then and we are living for these diva moves.

Amy explained to Grace, "The stuff I got offered doing TOWIE, I’ve got to be honest with you, [I] was just never going to get offered that stuff ever again. I got offered the Jungle (I'm a Celeb) straight away, I got offered Strictly, I got offered Celebrity Big Brother… I got offered so many shows and I thought, maybe in another year’s time I’m not going to get asked to do those shows. So, I went with Big Brother because I thought it was more me; I could still put my make-up on, I could still be me.”

Iconic.

But as much as we loved Amy on CBB, we're now manifesting a second I'm a Celeb/Strictly offer in the near future, because we would vote for that woman until our thumbs bled. Either that, or another go at Celebrity Big Brother when it returns next year. That would suffice.

Amy joined TOWIE in 2010 and is known for making the vajazzle a trend. Although she only took part in series one and two, Amy returned to the show in 2020.
