We have always thought of Strictly as the most wholesome, family-friendly show in the world of reality TV, but even families have fall-outs, right?

Just last week it was reported that there was feud bubbling behind the scenes as former lovers Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington were no longer pals and were refusing to be in the same room as each other.

But it turns out they aren't the only two going head to head this series as Carlos Gu has lifted the lid on his squabble with fellow dancer Nancy Xu after it was revealed they don't follow each other on social media.

In a chat with MailOnline, Carlos revealed he and Nancy were 'fine' and you know when you and a sibling fall out and your parents force you to make up? That's the energy Carlos is giving and if anything it makes them even more relatable.

'We've been friends since childhood,' Carlos went on.

He added, 'Friends argue.'

'We're too close and are like brother and sister to completely fall out,' Carlos added and didn't we say Strictly felt like one big (not so) happy family?

The news of their row came after it was discovered the duo had unfollowed each other on Instagram and according to The Sun it all boiled down to Nancy being given a celeb partner this season and Carlos being left for the group numbers.

'Carlos is said to be subdued after the falling-out and is also struggling with not getting a celebrity partner,' the news outlet revealed.

That being said, Nancy and her dance partner, Shayne Ward, are the latest dancing duo to be sent home and we have a feeling that Carlos would have been the first person to offer a shoulder to cry on.

WATCH: Ever wondered how much the Strictly judges, pros and hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman get paid?
