Mario Falcone originally quit TOWIE two years ago but he's heading back to the show that made him famous
A huge TOWIE star who caused tears, arguments and a whole load of cheating rumours is set to return to our screen soon. If you're thinking of Mark Wright you're wrong, but it's none other than Mario Falcone.
Yup.
Mario who had an infamous relationship with Lucy Mecklenburgh is set to return to the show that made him famous.
TOWIE fans saw Mario briefly return to the show for the Christmas special last year and now a source has confirmed he will be back on our screens for the next series: "Towie have invited him back to film the odd cameo and will use him where story permits," they told The Sun Online.
Mario is not the only Essex star who has quit the show and then returned. In the past we've seen Gemma Collins, Lydia Bright and Lauren Goodger head back to the show that made them famous. We can't wait to see him back with the TOWIE cast.
The reality star joined the show back in 2011 with the majority of his storylines focusing on his relationship with Lucy. The pair dated, argued, split, got back together, Mario proposed but they finally called it quits after Mario cheated a few times.
Following his split from his former co-star Lucy Mecklenburgh in 2013 Mario became depressed and attempted to kill himself. Opening up about the dark place he was in, he admitted: "I look back at it now and I wonder how I ever got into that place.
"It was very much an impulsive thing. I don't think I wanted to end my life. I just wanted to end the circumstances I was in."
He continued: "I had got myself into a corner. I'd lost my friends, I'd lost my girlfriends. I was very isolated. I didn't want to talk to anyone.
"It was more of a cry for help I guess."
Mario has made it clear that his nephew Buzz Fletcher changed his life. He recently posted an adorable video of the pair and wrote: "Strolling with my nephew... This little man literally changed my life and outlook when he entered the world... Love him"
In 2014 Mario was suspended from the ITV show after he was allegedly caught on camera using cocaine. He then returned to but quit two months later after he promoted dieting pills on his Instagram account which went against his ITV contract.
Since leaving the show Mario starred on Celebrity Big Brother and came fifth losing out to Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby. The 28-years-old reality star is now dating his makeup artist girlfriend Beck Miesner.
We can't wait for series 20 to begin. We already know some of the cast members jetted off to Tenerife to film and poor Gemma ending up in the hospital just before her birthday.
