The Loose Women have had to make way for a Budget special on International Women's Day
Of ALL THE DAYS to cancel a chat show led by strong and opinionated women...
Yep, we're afraid to say that lunchtime treat Loose Women has in fact been CANCELLED on the one day of the year that we celebrate women - International Women's Day.
We SUPPOSE that the chancellor Phillip Hammond telling us where money will be spent is important, but still.
Loose Women is one of the only chat shows on TV that has an all-female panel, and many flock to it every weekday lunchtime.
Ruth Langsford shared the news on yesterday's show after an emotional interview with Tina Malone.
She said: "Just to remind you we're not here tomorrow because of an ITV News Budget special.
"I know, I'm sorry, but the good news is we are back on Thursday and Gok Wan will be here."
The Loose Women Twitter account posted this morning: "Morning!! We're NOT on TV today because of the budget. But we will be back tomorrow! 😘"
But fans were NOT happy.
@Nickcarrick wrote: "Noooooo off today so was looking forward to seeing you today."
@boydie123 complained: "I'd rather watch @loosewomen than the budget. :("
And @suemary said: "LW used to be on ITV2 when the budget was aired so we didn't miss it, now it's not on at all!"
Whatever next? Replacing the Queen's Christmas Day speech with Prime Minister's Questions?!
