We last saw Jo Sugden – aka Roxanne Pallett – in the Dales back in 2008
Emmerdale fans Roxanne Pallett, who played feisty Jo Sugden, has hinted that her character could return in the near future.
Jo first joined Emmerdale in 2005 and viewers grew to love her. One of her main storylines was when she started an affair with Andy Sugden (who at the time was married to Katie). After Andy discovered his wife lied about being pregnant, he left her and started a relationship with Jo.
The feisty lady stuck by Andy while he was in prison but things turned sinister when he began to physically abuse her. After the truth about the domestic abuse finally came out, Jo decided the only way her husband would leave her alone is if she left the Dales.
Emmerdale viewers last time we saw Jo was back in 2008 but now the 34-year-old actress has revealed that she definitely would return to the ITV show.
"Emmerdale left the door open which is a huge compliment and I would totally consider a return if it was right for both the writers and me.
"Not a week goes by when I’m not asked by the British public when they will see ‘Jo’ again, which really warms my heart," she told The Sun.
Roxanne also admitted that in the past the writers did ask her to return to the show: "I got a call a couple of years ago about a return but sadly I was out of the country filming so it wasn’t to be."
What a shame!
We did love how feisty Jo was.
She wouldn't be the first Emmerdale actor to return to the show. We've seen Debbie Dingle return, Charity Dingle made a shocking comeback and of course, Robert Sugden returned in 2014 and went on to become one of the greatest soap power couples - Robron.
