It's a tough week for Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk as she finally has her day in court with Pierce Harris

Pierce Harris' trial for raping Rhona Goskirk on their wedding day begins in Emmerdale next week. As the week starts, Rhona is feeling the pressure and asks ex-husband, Paddy Kirk, to support her in court. Pierce is supported by his mother, Martha, but Pierce blames her for the whole predicament and violently attacks her, leaving marks on her arms. He really is such a wrong'un.

Rhona has been panicking about the sex-tape she unknowingly made with Pierce being used as evidence, so she's relieved to hear it won't be shown in court.

Despite the glimmer of good news, Rhona struggles when she's cross-examined, while Pierce puts on a good show as a wrongly-accused victim.

After the first day, Rhona feels defeated and Paddy breaks the news to Marlon and Vanessa that it hasn't gone well.

Later, Rhona spots Pierce heading off into a side room on his own and she takes the opportunity to confront him. She threatens him and tells him she is willing to lie to see him sent down for what he did.

She is stunned when he finally admits his crime. Rhona has the confession she has wanted, but will Pierce also tell the truth when it's his turn to give evidence? Let's hope so.
