Now she's finally reported evil Pierce to the police, Rhona panics as news of her rape is made public in Emmerdale

Rhona Goskirk has struggled since the brutal attack at the hands of her new husband on their wedding day, even falling back into her prescription drug habit. Now she faces fresh agony as her ordeal is revealed to the village. Police are continuing to investigate the case after Rhona finally named Pierce Harris as her attacker, but how will the vulnerable vet cope with it becoming public knowledge?

Rhona is thrown into further chaos next week when her son, Leo, draws a family picture that includes Pierce. She's already struggled to move forward from the devastating attack, so will this prove another setback?

Rhona's ex-husband, Paddy Kirk, is on hand to offer support as broken Rhona struggles to find the words to tell the youngster that Pierce won't be coming home.

Later, the police inform her that they'll need to speak with various friends and villagers. Rhona panics that she'll be judged or that no one will believe her.

Vanessa Woodfield is also close by Rhona's side and tries to reassure her that no one will judge her. But is she right?
