Fans were shocked to find out last year that EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith, aka Gray Atkins, is dating rival soap star - Amy Walsh.
Emmerdale watchers know Amy as Tracy Metcalfe but they were not expecting to learn that she could be dating the EastEnders star after they publicly stepped out together.
And Toby might be a bit of a social media myth but they've finally gone Instagram official with their relationship (that could just be a friendship... but still), so we thought we'd do a bit of digging and get to know Mr. Smith a bit better.

Toby-Alexander Smith is a British actor who plays the role of Gray Atkins in EastEnders who was married to on-screen wife Chantelle Atkins, a.k.a I'm A Celeb's Jessica Plummer.
He joined the Albert Square crew two years ago in 2019 and since then has built up quite the reputation after it was revealed that his character had been domestically abusing wife Chantelle.

The soap stars appeared to go Instagram official with their relationship after they attended a wedding together and posted a photo from the 'do.
"AT THE MACHIN-CRANE WEDDING 2.0," Amy wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair grinning at the camera.

Toby-Alexander and his partner Amy are expecting their first child together and have confirmed the wonderful news.
"We're so excited. It feels as though the way everything happened was meant to be.
"I thought I might struggle with fertility, so for pregnancy to happen quite easily and when I wanted - I was gobsmacked. We feel incredibly lucky," Amy told OK! magazine.

He said, "I hope Gray gets mentioned in every tweet imaginable about domestic abuse and how wrong it is. It’s important that this is helping survivors of domestic abuse, at the end of the day I can just turn my phone off."
Announcing his decision to join Women's Aid on Instagram, Toby-Alexander told fans that he is so proud to join the safeguarding charity.
"I will stand up and support survivors of abuse wherever and whenever I can," he said.
Things came to a head on EastEnders in September 2020 and EastEnders fans were left devastated when Gray brutally killed Chantelle and left her for dead.
While Kheerat Panesar and Tina Carter have had their doubts, none of the other residents or Chantelle's family are aware of Gray's dark side.
Kush Kazemi was suspicious of Gray and it resulted in his death too after the serial killer pushed Whitney Dean's boyfriend in front of a train.

Is Toby-Alexander Smith leaving EastEnders?
Well most villains do eventually leave soapland but whether viewers say goodbye to Gray Atkins in handcuffs, a bodybag or the back of a taxi is yet to be revealed.
It's also not yet known when it will come to light that he's killed Chantelle, Tina and Kush but here's hoping it'll be EastEnders' Christmas Day episode later this year.

It turns out, not only can Toby-Alexander act but he's also pretty good at singing. The EastEnders star shared a video of himself onstage singing and it's safe to say that his followers were impressed.
