EastEnders bosses have confirmed that the mother of Shirley (Linda Henry) and Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) will appear "at some point" on Albert Square.
This development comes after actress Kellie Bright - who plays Linda Carter in the BBC1 soap - told RadioTimes.com that we "might" get to see Sylvie on screen.
Viewers have been busy wondering whether Sylvie - who walked out on husband Stan (Timothy West) and her family years ago - could be living with Aunt Babe (Annette Badland), who was recently seen to be sharing her house with a mystery person.

They have yet to announce who will be playing Shirley's mother, but one thing is certain; Sylvie's arrival is bound to bring fresh drama for the Carter clan.

Why?
Well, Queen Vic landlord Mick (Danny Dyer) is currently under the impression that Sylvie is his mum when, in actual fact, 'big sister' Shirley is his birth mother.
Danny Dyer recently admitted that, while he doesn't know what Mick's reaction will be to the shocking news, he does know when it will take place.
He said: "I don't know what my reaction is going to be, but I can guarantee I'll have a Christmas hat on. Bit of turkey. Boom!"
