EastEnders spoilers: ‘Frantic’ murder suspect returns to Walford

EastEnders fans, a 'frantic' suspect is set to play a big part in the upcoming twist in the Lucy Beale murder case...

Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) is finally making a full return to EastEnders.

Ian's estranged wife is currently off-screen, having taken her adopted son, Bobby, away from all the drama following the murder of his big sister, Lucy Beale, over the Easter weekend.

But she is set to return to Walford - and the late Lucy Beale's step mum, thought by many to be her murderer, is 'frantic'.

Speaking with Digital Spy, Laurie explained: “Jane is frantic because Bobby has gone missing.

"She is all the way up in Birmingham and he has pretended that he is emailing Ian in London, so she assumes that her little boy is up in London somewhere.”

Little Bobby is finally found, perfectly safe, after having rushed back to Walford to investigate his big sister's murder.

We wonder if he'll have more luck than the police?

Laurie Brett also revealed that Jane will play a big part in the upcoming twist in the murder case next week, which sees Denise Fox (Diane Parish) digging up Lucy’s missing phone and purse.

As viewers know, the late Lucy's personal items were buried by Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) and her uncle, Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid) earlier this year - but will they cover their tracks in time?

Laurie said: “It’s a minefield. Jane is going to stay, so obviously she is involved in all of that. It is something highly significant and they don’t know what to do about it all.”

Finally the actress revealed that she is not planning on leaving the show again for a while:

“Even if I am the murderer, nobody said that I can’t stay….”
