There are a few EastEnders actors leaving and returning to the show and Ellen Thomas (who plays Claudette Hubbard) is one of the latest stars to speak about her upcoming exit.
Ellen Thomas (who plays Claudette) will be leaving the show shortly and moving on to the lead role in a stage show The Hotel Cerise.
An EastEnders spokesperson confirmed the news to Digital Spy, by saying: "As our regular viewers will know, Claudette has often been seen coming and going from the Square to visit her family and friends.
"This is the end of another stint for Claudette and we wish Ellen all the best for the future."
But on a positive note it has been confirmed that Claudette will not be killed off.
Yay!
The 52-year-old actress explained that the door is being left wide open for her return: "The story at the moment is that she's off on one of her trips and she's staying with her son and she's off," she said in an interview with BBC Radio London.
And for viewers wondering whether she'll return to the BBC One show, Ellen has said: "She has family on the Square – so of course.
"You can't keep her away from her son and her granddaughter. You can’t. You just can't"
Fingers crossed she'll return!
