EastEnders spoilers: The Carter family to be rocked by ‘shock Christmas death’

It wouldn’t be Christmas in Albert Square without a death, would it? And this year, it’s the Carter family who are in for a shock.

According to reports, someone in the family is hiding a secret about their health but, like all secrets in Walford, it soon comes out.

When Aunt Babe follows Stan to a hospital appointment she is shocked to discover he has terminal cancer.

The Daily Star reports that Babe will urge Stan to tell Mick, Linda and the rest of the family and, when he does, they are devastated to learn he has just weeks to live.

But they pull together and vow to give Stan the best Christmas ever, but will it finally come out that Shirley is Mick’s mum and not his sister?

An EastEnders insider said: “The scenes where he tells the family he has cancer are heartbreaking.

“It’s terminal and there’s nothing that can be done. His grandchildren all take it badly as does his youngest daughter Tina and son Mick.”

Will Stan's news mean Shirley's own secret will have to come out?

Despite their turbulent relationship, it’s thought that even Shirley will be shaken by the news.

The source added: “There will be lots of laughter and heart-to-hearts, and Stan and Shirley have to decide what to do about Mick…”

What with Stan’s death, Shirley’s big secret just bursting to come out and the truth about what Dean did to Linda – the start of 2015 looks like it’s going to be explosive for the Carters.
