Will they be killed off?
Les and Pam Coker (played by Roger Sloman and Lin Blakeley), who were introduced to EastEnders back in 2014 by former executive producer Dominic Treadwell Collins, have been axed and will leave the show later this year.
They are currently in the midst of a traumatic storyline, that saw their grandson Paul (played by Jonny Labey) horrificly killed in a homophobic attack.
The decision to axe the couple, who own the square’s undertakers, was made by new producer Sean O’Conner after he alledgely felt that the family’s potential plotlines had been pushed to the limits.
Their exit will reportedly tie in withLes’ cross-dressing alter ego Christine.
A spokesperson for EastEnders said: "We can confirm that Roger and Lin will be leaving EastEnders later this year. They have been a pleasure to work with and we wish them all the best for the future."
A source also added to The Mirror: "Pam and Les have been a big part of the show over the past few months and with their current storyline, bosses felt that it was the right time for their characters to leave the Square.
"There is still plenty more drama to come from the Cokers before they leave Walford."
We hope the Coker’s will get justice for Paul’s murder before they leave.
We'll certainly miss them!
