Adam Barlow will take another step towards becoming a fully-fledged soap villain next week as he exploits poor Rosie Webster who naively confides in him about the drugs.
We all know Rosie isn’t the sharpest pencil in the tin – who else would accidently bring a stash of cocaine into the country thinking it’s a special sweetener or her tea?
But evil Adam will take advantage of Rosie’s lack of grey matter when she tells him her woes about the possible drugs charge hanging over her.
Sam Robertson, who plays Adam, opened up to Radio Times about his characters intentions for Rosie.
He said: "Initially, Adam sees Rosie as just another conquest. But when he realises that there’s an opportunity for him to make a gain for himself, he starts to manipulate her. Adam’s a bit heartless when it comes to Rosie."
After Rosie tells him everything about her boyfriend and the drugs, Adam calls a contact in the States to make sure he’s been locked up. Then he starts hatching his plan.
Sam continued: "Straight away, Adam’s thinking for himself and not really giving a toss about Rosie and her dilemma. He’s thinking what’s in this for him.
"He sees the opportunity to make money. He’s always scheming, conniving and trying to make a quick, fast buck without doing a lot of hard work. This is his best opportunity yet to do that and he acts upon it."
Don’t miss Coronation Street next week, when all will be revealed.
So what’s Adam’s plan? And what will it mean for Rosie? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter.
