Uh oh. It looks like Coronation Street's Bethany Platt has stumbled into something way out of depth with this sinister Nathan character she's been hanging out with.

Viewers know that Nathan saved Bethany after she collapsed in the ginnel over Christmas. Since then he's been showering the troubled teen with inappropriate praise – er, that "killer body" line, anyone? – and encouraging her to film make-up tutorials.

Things will take an ugly turn next week when Nathan is arrested and accused of abducting a girl called Annabel Adams.

This will come after he makes his move on Bethany and kisses her.

As the walls close in on Nathan, he promises Bethany that he's been wrongly accused. The smitten schoolgirl doesn't see through his lies.

Then Bethany is torn when Nathan asks her to lie to police and provide an alibi to prove he couldn't have been behind the abduction.
