We were all left reeling after Joanie Dingle née Wright unexpectedly died from a heart attack last week in Emmerdale.
Joanie had just been released from prison for attacking a police officer when she was taken ill.
She was with Lisa Dingle, who had collected her from prison to let her know that she was getting back together with Zak Dingle, who left her for Joanie.
The two women were reminiscing about their former friendship when Lisa decided she would tell Zak it wasn't working and they couldn't go backwards.
Fans were shocked by Joanie's totally unexpected death and praised Emmerdale for keeping the whole thing under wraps.
Tonight viewers will see villagers say an emotional goodbye to Joanie, including her estranged husband Zak. Judging by these pics, the whole thing gets too much for him.
And it's not just the funeral – Zak ends up on the end of a tearful tongue-lashing from Kerry Wyatt, who is heartbroken by Joanie's death.
Kerry accuses Zak of letting Joanie down – both in life and death. Harsh, but true.
