If you're not a fan of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, politely exit our site. This is a safe space for RHOCheshire fans only. We're kidding, welcome one and all, but if you've never watched the ITVBe reality series, save money on that big family holiday this year and just stay at home and binge 16+ series of this iconic reality series for two weeks instead.
We're jealous, to be honest. We're just going to Orlando.
Those who are up to date with the goings on of our gorgeous golden girls (that's not throwing shade - their new promo snap is VERY golden) will know that two new full-time Housewives have joined the line-up for series 17 - 'Hurricane' Paige Chohan and newbie Ellie Egar.
While Paige appeared in the first episode of the series (to the absolute dismay of Rachel Lugo), Ellie is yet to be introduced to the group and we can hardly wait to officially meet our new queen next week.
With that being said, Ellie isn't exactly a new girl on Cheshire's socialite scene - the youngest ever Cheshire Housewife (she is just 26) is not only an established fashion stylist, she is also a full-time influencer, so there's plenty of ways of getting to know this it girl now if you can't wait until next Monday – especially if you're a TikTok user.
The social media queen is an avid user of the platform and recently shared a GRWM video with her followers where she discussed how she was approached for RHOCheshire.
Show teasers have seemingly made out that Ellie is being introduced to the group as a friend of Paige, but in reality, producers spotted her on an ultra boujie red carpet in Manchester late last year and then contacted her in the most 2024 of ways – by sliding into those DMs.
Ellie told her followers, "Chris [Ellie's partner] and I went to the new restaurant launch of FENIX in Manchester and basically we got there and had a paparazzi picture outside before entering the event and I'm led to believe this is kind of what led me to being on the show.
"So a couple of days later I got a message from the producers of The Real Housewives of Cheshire asking me a little bit about myself and whether I've ever considered going on The Real Housewives of Cheshire. I was like, 'Sorry, let me just re-read that.'"
She continued, "I think [the picture] was in Manchester Evening News and then I saw this message on Instagram, then I said to Chris, 'Babe, look at this message', and he was like, 'Oh my god, Elle, you have to do it.' He was so supportive.
"So I went back and I was like, 'This isn't something that I've thought about, I've watched it for years – I remember watching it at like 15 and being like, oh my god, obsessed with the show.
"It took me a while to process it and, obviously, at this point nothing is confirmed, so I then went on and had a few interviews, spoke to a few of the producers [and] everyone was so lovely. Then I thought, 'Do you know what? Sometimes these things in life just happen for a reason. This is just an experience that I can't say no to.'"
Ellie summarised by saying, "A lot of people think you have to interview for these sort of things, but for me, it was organic."
Obsessed with Ellie spilling major behind-the-scenes show tea before she has even made her official debut. We've got a good feeling about this one.
But has she spilled any beans on the filming process and the rest of the girls? Well, she did say, "We've been filming since January and it has been wild."
Wait, did Monday just become our favourite day of the week?
