Just ahead of the release of the first episode of The Real Housewives of Cheshire series 18 (the show's milestone ten-year anniversary season) the official Instagram account for the show posted a very telling video. The cast were challenged to a game of Sip or Spill, where the ladies either had to spill the tea on something about the upcoming series or refuse to answer and take a sip of champagne instead. Hardly the most taxing challenge for these ladies given that spilling tea and sipping champagne are two things they are all exceptionally talented at.
Anyway, the result was rather telling – the cast revealed that Paige Chohan will be at the forefront of a LOT of this season's drama. And, of course, we got a taste of that brewing in the final minutes of the opening episode in Thailand 👀 IYKYK.
To be fair though, Paige came in like a wrecking ball when she was first introduced to the series at the start of season 16 (remember her scraps with Hanna Kinsella and Rachel Lugo?), earning her the nickname 'Hurricane Paige' (coined by us, by the way 💅). The Housewife then fell pregnant with baby Nora and we saw a much softer side to the reality star from that point on. Fast forward to 2025 and those winds seem to be getting stronger once again. Sitting down with Closer online for an exclusive tell-all, Ell not only spilled the beans on her rows with Nicole Sealey, but opened up about her bestie, Paige.
Ell revealed, 'Paige is very strong minded and she definitely stands up for herself. But, she's had a hard time settling into the group. She's had strong opinions, which she's completely valid to and I think she really stands her ground within the group and perhaps that gets people's nose out of joint a little bit, but I feel like she's really started to be accepted into the group and she's making her mark.'
To be fair, who ever said 'Hurricane Paige' was a negative nickname? This queen brings it to EVERY episode and, let's be honest, if the show was giving gentle breezes every episode you wouldn't be tuning in, would you? 🌬️
Speaking about how new mum Paige is supporting her through her own pregnancy, the newly-engaged Ell told us, 'All the girls have been really helpful, but Paige especially. She's just gone through it all so she's very much, like, "Ell, I'm here as a sounding board, whatever you need, I can answer for you." She's really good at telling me to not go crazy and buy absolutely everything, cause obviously you get so excited. She's helping me to think a little more logically. Like, "This is what you need, this is what you don't need." I'm just excited for the two little girls to be like besties.'
