Since we are yet to be invited for a cheeky pre-season launch tour around the Love Island villa by show bosses à la Molly Marsh, all we can really do is manifest and imagine what the villa is really like.
Was that a big enough hint, ITV?
Luckily, we spend most of our waking hours talking to Islanders about their experience on the show and the majority of them are more than happy to spill some behind-the-scenes tea and help us picture what life inside television's most famous villa is really like.
Take our recent chat with Love Island 2018 star Wes Nelson, for example; because we're dead professional and creative, while talking about his new partnership with Lynx and his fondness for their new scents, we took the opportunity to ask the Love Island icon what the villa really smells like.
Seamless.
To be honest, we have always wondered this. The girls' dressing room is rammed with enough beauty products to fill a small Boots warehouse, all the Islanders sleep in the same room (you can use your imagination for that one), the toilet is allegedly "disgusting", catering is hit and miss at the best of times, and the air-con is blasting 24 hours a day. We can only assume it's giving pongy.
Well, according to Wes, the villa doesn't exactly smell bad, but there is a distinct smell wofting through those opulent halls; a smell that remarkably hasn't changed since 2018, apparently. The musician told us that when he entered the All Stars villa earlier this year to perform alongside Craig David, he was suddenly rushed back to the year 2018 due to a familiar, erm, fragrance.
He told us, "When I went back now to do the performance, I walked in and I was like, 'It smells like the villa.' It's strange."
So come on then, Wes, what exactly does the Love Island villa (apparently regardless of whether it's in Spain or South Africa) smell like?
"It's like wood. Yeah, a lot of wood, because I think they put the decking down. Fake tan, you smell that. And...what else do you smell? Suncream," he revealed. "It's like a weird combination, but any Islander, if you showed them that smell, they'd know exactly where it was."
What were you expecting? Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury products and sex?
Yeah, us too.
