After months of rumours that they’d reunited, Love Island couple Millie Court and Liam Reardon finally confirmed they were back together earlier this week as they made their first major public appearance at the launch of McDonald’s Monopoly.
The Love Island 2021 winners first announced their split last year, just over 12 months after they left the villa, and Liam went on to appear on Celebs Go Dating, which she admitted “wasn’t nice” to watch.
Millie’s BFF, flatmate and Love Island co-star Chloe Burrows then dropped a major hint that Millie and Liam were back together when he could be heard in the background of one of her TikTok videos. But now we know that they’re back on, the questions on all of our lips is just exactly how did Millie and Liam rekindle their relationship?
Well, we caught up with Millie and Liam to ask them that exact question and the answer was actually rather heart-warming. Maybe true love isn’t dead after all…
“We remained friends throughout the break-up,” Liam exclusively told Closer online.
Millie added, “We really cared about each other and it naturally happened.”
Liam admitted it was him who made the first move as he continued, “I reached out to Millie and it started there really.
“Everything happens for a reason and it did,” Millie said.
Now that they’re loved-up once again, we had to ask Millie and Liam what their future plans are and it sound like they’ve got more TV work on their minds.
“We would both love to go on I'm A Celeb,” Millie told us.
Liam then revealed he would love to follow in the footsteps of fellow Islanders Liberty Poole, Maura Higgins and Zara McDermott by taking on Dancing On Ice or Strictly – but it sounds like Millie isn’t so sure.
“Dancing on Ice?”, she questioned him. “Can you ice skate?”
“No,” Liam answered before bursting into laughter.
Oh, we’re so glad these two are back together.
