The sad reality of Love Island: All Stars is that despite villa drama unfolding on our screens night after night, we will never, ever get the full story when it comes to these All Stars.
They ALL knew each other before the villa, they ALL have history, and at the end of the day, they are ALL playing a game right now – otherwise they'd be forming these connections privately IRL. Cynical? On Valentine's Day? Us? Nooo.
Take the recent drama with Luca Bish and Harriett Blackmore, for example – these two have been friends for years and years on the outside, long before they lived in the All Stars villa together. But lately, Harriett has been feeling 'unsupported' by her lifelong friend and the Brighton babes have spent the last few days yo-yoing between arguing and making up – and it's started to affect her relationship with Grace Jackson. And it's certainly affected Luca's relationship with Ronnie Vint.
It's dead confusing and let's be honest, we're very clearly missing a lot of backstory here.
Luckily, dumped bombshells are in the habit of speaking to the press and adding a smidge more context to some of these complicated villa dynamics.
When asked about the current tension between Luca and Harriett in a new interview, Danielle Sellers revealed that Harriett and Ronnie's strong connection could be behind the fallout between the lifelong friends.
She told The Sun, 'When you're in [the villa] with them, Harriett and Ronnie are definitely the strongest couple.
'They've got the most chemistry and the [best] connection. It's so natural, they're completely themselves.
'I think maybe that's a little bit threatening to Grace and Luca.'
Ooft. Although, hold on a tick. Did that just make a lot of sense?
Danielle continued, 'I'm definitely team Harriett, I have to say, because Grace tells people to shut the f**k up all the time and no one says anything to her, whereas when Harriet said it...
'Luca's supposed to be a family friend.
'He could have just been like "yeah you shouldn't speak to people like that but I back you", but he just completely was against her [in front of the group] and I thought that was unfair on Harriett.
'When she walked off crying no one went after her. I completely feel sorry for Harriett in that sense.'
When Danielle was first announced as a bombshell we all glanced at each other with a look of confusion on our faces; for who could actually remember the mysterious Danielle? We have watched every season of Love Island (including the celeb version featuring Calum Best back in 2006) and we were drawing a blank.
After some thorough research and the help of TikTok edits (and Wikipedia), we remembered Danielle as the Casa Amor girlie who lasted just four days before being booted out of the villa.
Danielle faired a little better on All Stars and ended up spending ten days looking for love in South Africa before being left single and booted alongside Samie Elishi.
