It's safe to say that Love Island icon Laura Anderson has been on a Bridget Jones-style journey when it comes to finding love over her six years in the spotlight.
While she is, of course, famous for her stint on Love Island 2018, where she had short-lived dalliances with Wes Nelson, Jack Fowler and Paul Knops, the turbulence in her love life continued away from the ITV dating show.
In 2022, she famously shacked up with former Hollyoaks and EastEnders actor Gary Lucy after they met on E4’s Celebs Go Dating and broke the Dating Agency's number one rule: don't date the other celebs.
The pair broke up before their daughter Bonnie was born, with Gary confirming the split less than 24 hours after Laura announced her pregnancy on Instagram.
Those who follow Laura on social media will know that she is currently dating footballer Clark Robertson after the pair went Instagram official last month, and aside from them being absolute couple goals in the online content department, the pair have been keeping the details of their relationship under wraps.
However, Laura has now given fans slightly more insight into her new relationship after opening up about the 'not very romantic' way she met Clark.
And she's right, it's not very romantic. But it is very 2024 and very ex Islander.
According to Laura, Clark slid into her DMs three years and she didn't reply until earlier this year...
She told The Sun, 'It’s not very romantic, he messaged me online and I saw it about three years later and replied and here we are.'
Laura continued, 'I didn’t make it public for a little bit, but we’ve been together for a little bit. It’s nice, it’s chilled, no drama, just simple. A good Scottish boy, I can’t complain.
But other than being hunky and Scottish, what is he like Laura? We want a fairytale ending this time, please.
She revealed, 'He’s kind and patient and normal and beautiful and he makes me laugh.
'It’s going beautifully well.'
Closer last caught up with Laura a year into motherhood and just a few months before she went public with new boyf Clark (it gives us Superman vibes every type we type out his name), where she told us that she was starting to think about dating again.
Laura said, 'It would be nice to meet someone soon; I think it would be good for me and that I deserve it, but I’d need to take it slowly and it would need to be someone who would take on me and my daughter as one. I believe everything happens for a reason, so when the time is right, I’m sure the right person will come along, but Bonnie will always be my priority.’
