The Love Island producers have pulled it out of the bag with this one, haven't they? Although we all saw it coming, it didn't make the teaser at the end of last night's episode any less exciting.
It is official, the most chaotic Love Island 2016 star is back and we cannot wait.
Kady McDermott, who took part in season two of Love Island seven years ago, has only gone and done an Adam Collard and will be joining the cast of Love Island 2023 in the hopes of finding love in the villa. Again.
During her stint on the dating show back in 2016, Kady was an absolute menace and we love every moment of it. She joined as a bombshell on day six and was coupled up with Scott Thomas all the way to the final, where they finished in third place. However, the couple didn't have the smoothest of journeys - especially when Tina Stinnes rocked up and Kady called her every name under the sun. Oh, the mems.
Then there was the explosive moment when Kady spilled a drink on newcomer Malia Arkian's heels, resulting in a full on brawl between the two that ended with Malia being booted out of the villa after just a few hours.
But it's been years since she took part in the romance reality TV show and now that she is 27 years old, Kady claims to have grown up. She says, "I’m a lot more emotionally mature now, so I know how to navigate things better. I’ve grown up a lot."
This means that Kady was just 20 when she first took part in Love Island. Sure, that's a year older than Gemma Owen was when she starred on Love Island 2022, but 2016 truly was a different time.
Back in the day Islanders used to smoke 24/7, fight at every opportunity and have sex on the top of the covers on television.
For a second we were concerned that Kady may have lost her spark but the returning bombshell is still ready to cause some carnage. "Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to be me and the fire I have is in my soul, I’ll never get rid of that and I love that about me," she says.
We love that about her too.
