This year's season of Love Island came to an end last night (Monday 29 July) and it was one for the history books.
We KNOW we say that every year but this year's series of the dating show truly did make history when Josh Sunday Oyinsan and Mimii Ngulube were crowned king and queen of Love Island 2024; making them the first black couple to take home the title (and the £50k prize money.)
OG Islander Mimii was a fan fave from day one and when bombshell Josh came in Mimii (and us here at Closer HQ) fell for the fella; hook, line and sinker.

When Josh joined the show alongside Reuben Collins they took Mimii, Uma Jammeh and Jessy Potts on a five-way date. After sharing a little flirt with both Mimii and Grace Jackson, Josh decided to couple up with Mimii but not everybody was convinced the feelings between the duo were real.
Mimii had previously been left heartbroken but Ayo after he coupled up with Jessica Spencer during Casa Amor and some of their fellow villa mates believed there was unfinished business between the ex-couple.
By their 'fellow villa mates' we mean Joey Essex and Sean Stone who jumped at every opportunity to call out Mimii and Ayo's previous romance resulting in countless fall-outs in the villa.
Backed by Ciaran Davies and Reuben, Josh and Ayo didn't hold back from putting Joey and Sean in their place and supporting their girlies.
In fact, during her speech at the final dinner Mimii thanked Josh for being her "protector."
No we are not crying, it's hayfever, okay?
