We'll be honest, Love Island's Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint getting back together was not on our 2025 bingo cards here at Closer online.
More often than not when a Love Island relationship is done, it's done. And bear in mind we were almost certain the pair were going to take part in All Stars 2025 regardless – no chance a Love Island producer is going to miss a golden telly opportunity like that.
We just assumed Ronnie would do something to give Harriett the ick (again) the moment they came face-to-face and that would be that.
But here we are, just days from the final and Harriett and Ronnie are not only back together, they're dropping L-bombs left, right and centre and talking about the future (you know, the one away from the cameras).
Also – and we wouldn't say this unless we possessed serious conviction – Ronnie does appear to have changed for the better for Harriett and that's gorgeous to see.
While Ronnie joined the show on day one as an OG, Harriett was left waiting in the wings as a bombshell for dramatic effect for almost two weeks. She entered the villa on day 11 and virtually every Love Island fan going assumed she was going to try and get back with Ronnie – despite the fact that he cheated on her a few months prior. No, girl.
But according to Harriett's friends and family, she didn't go on All Stars to get Ronnie back – far from it. So why did she go back on?
In a recent Q&A on Instagram, Harriett's friends and family revealed that 'she didn't initially plan to go back in for [Ronnie]', confessing that she actually joined the show to 'play the field' a bit.
They revealed, 'This time, H definitely really loved Ronnie before but as we've seen and we've commented on, he did really hurt her. She didn't initially plan to go back in for him, we thought she'd play the field but I think everyone can agree we've seen such a change in the way he treats her and she would've been silly not to give him another chance. Honestly we couldn't wish for anything more. We just want them to both be happy.'
We don't quite equate 'playing the field' to having one chat with Ron Hall on the beanbags, but it is what it is. Ronnie and Harriett and are back and as long as they're both happy, so are we.
Just do yourself a favour and stay out of your DMs, Ronnie Boy.
