Brace yourselves, the next series of Love Island is just days away. Love Island: All Stars begins on Monday (15 January) and our excitement levels are at an all-time high – especially after getting the goss directly from the first twelve Islanders.
We spoke to Islanders like Demi Jones, Mitch Taylor and Kaz Kamwi while they were holed up in isolation ahead of the first episode and they spilled the beans about everything from Georgia Harrison and Chris Taylor’s secret meetings before the show to Georgia Steel’s ‘feud’ with Megan Barton-Hanson.
Love Island 2015’s Hannah Elizabeth is another Islander got to have a chinwag with and she told us how she REALLY feels about her ex Jon Clark, nine years after he proposed to her in the villa.
Series one viewers will remember that Hannah and Jon went through plenty of ups and downs during their time on the show, but it ended on a high when he popped the question at the final.
However, it all ended in tears just months later when they split after a series of rows. At the time, Hannah said, “I thought Jon was the man I would marry and I've seen such a big change in him since we left the villa, which I'm gutted about.”
But fast forward to the present day and it sounds like there’s no hard feelings, on Hannah’s part at least. She told us, “The last time I saw Jon was the reunion [on Love Island: What Happened Next in 2020] where we all got together and it was absolutely fine.
“I think Jon was a little bit awkward, wondering if I was going to be sound with him. I mean, it’s been nine years, we left saying we’re friends.”
So, how would Hannah react if Jon walked in the villa as a bombshell?
“We don’t chat but if he came into the villa for the lols, I would be absolutely sound with him unless he wants to kick off,” she explained.
“We’ll see, but it’s alright on my end.”
Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 15th January on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX & STV.
