Sometimes when we're conducting an episode of Closer's Love Island secrets (four our 🔥 YouTube channel), we genuinely feel like investigators grilling a couple of suspects over a crime in some bad Hollywood blockbuster. It's not far off to be honest – we ask a series of blunt questions that when answered truthfully lead us (and you) to the TRUTH. It's a proper grilling and a bit of a power trip on our part, we're not going to lie.
Obviously, no one goes to prison after; mostly we just go to the studio kitchen for a real cuppa and a Hobnob and continue gossiping about Love Island 2023.
The latest suspects to face our firing line were recently-dumped Islanders Mehdi Edno and Mal Nicol who have been doing the press rounds this week, after they were dumped from the Island just before hurricane Casa Amor hit the villa.
One of the brutal questions we present to all our Love Island secrets Islanders is particularly savage and really does put our celebs on the spot (*evil cackle*). Said question is: 'Who do you think was the most and least genuine Islanders?'
But Mal and Mehdi, sadly, did a good job at evading this one.
Mal responded, saying, "Honestly, everyone has pure intentions. You can't fake these emotions in there; that's why everyone's crying all the time. Yeah, no one is fake."
Mehdi laughed and quickly agreed.
To be fair, Mal used to work at heat and Closer, so she probably knows all our tricks, tbh. FFS.
But, yeah, at least the duo did technically speak out on fake Islanders – even if technically there weren't any in that villa (in their eyes). Sorry.
Mehdi and Mal's Love Island journeys came to an abrupt end last week after the public voted for their favourite boy and their favourite girl; Mehdi and Mal were revealed to be the least popular and were, thus, instantly dumped from the villa.
