Not only did the latest series of Love Island reunite exes Molly Smith and Callum Jones and former co-stars like Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi, but it turns out All Stars was responsible for two former friends getting back on good terms.
In an exclusive interview with Closer online, Chris Taylor has revealed that his time in the All Stars villa helped him repair his friendship with Love Island 2019 co-star Joe Garratt after they secretly fell out.
Chris and Joe met when they first appeared on the ITV2 show almost five years ago and became good friends, although things hit the rocks a couple of years later and the pair weren’t on speaking terms before patching things up when they both returned to the villa last month.
Chris explained, “Me and Joe Garratt had not spoken for about two years. We were really, really close and then some stuff happened and we hadn’t spoke and we managed to iron that out and become bros again, which is really nice.
“And then he left, but I’m glad I took the opportunity to do that on day two because I didn’t see him going that night.”
It’s not known why Chris and Joe’s feud began, but we’re dying to know the tea.
During his interview with Closer, Chris and his villa love interest Joanna Chimonides also let slip that Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran almost quit the villa.
Joanna told us, “They are like so in love – well, not in love, but I think they're getting there. At this one point, everyone had this speculation, like, if there was going to be a vote then Toby would be out and Georgia straight away said, 'Jo, if he goes I'm leaving with him and that's it.'"
Chris added, "They tried to leave together."
Well, thank goodness they didn’t. The show wouldn’t have been the same without them.
