If you haven't watched/heard Love Island 2021's Chloe Burrows' recent interview on Saving Grace podcast you haven't lived.
We're not even being dramatic. Tea wasn't just spilled, it was poured all over the floor.
During the interview, Chloe discussed boyf Toby Aromolaran, revealed some saucy Love Island secrets and even took a few swipes at Hugo Hammond. She also discussed a series of events that could've put our Chloe on a TOTALLY different path to fame; in fact, she could've ended up being called Chloe Lineker.
"I obviously refused"
When asked how she got scouted for Love Island, Chloe revealed, "It's a really weird story. So, basically this girl called Sophie was chasing me for ages for Celebs Go Dating and they wanted me to go out with Wayne Lineker.
Bursting into a fit of laughter, Chloe continued, "I obviously refused".
Shade. Saying that, we're glad things worked out the way they did or Chloe would've never dropped the bombshell that is her on to the 2021 villa.
No Chloe - IMAGINE.
Chloe could've ended up on Ready to Mingle instead of Love Island
Chloe continued her Love Island origin story, "Then she obviously asked me to go – this is all on Instagram – on a show, I can't remember what it's called, but it went on last year, and it was like, one girl, twelve boys in a house, six were single." Ready to Mingle, Chlo.
"She was like, 'I want you to be the girl on that', so I had a call about it, but I was like, 'I don't know if this is the right thing'. But, she passed my number on to a producer from Love Island.
"The next day, I had literally just finished work and I got a call, and they were like, 'Are you ready for a long, hot summer? and I was like, 'F-ck off, f-ck off, f-ck off, is this Love Island?!'
"Then I had a Zoom call, then the next week I was in London and then they were like, 'Yeah, you're going to be the first bombshell'."
Our Chloe is hardly the first reality star to be approached for Celebs Go Dating. This is very much another story, but you see, all these reality TV bosses all talk to each other like movie mafia bosses; there's rivalry there, but also respect, so you're bound to get some celeb crossovers.
Here are a few of our fave former Islanders who have either been approached by Celebs Go Dating scouts or cameoed before finding fame in their respective villas.
Shaughna Phillips
Prior to heading into the villa this year, Shaughna made a brief appearance on the 2019 series of Celebs Go Dating.
The straight talker appeared at a mixer, where she was approached by human golden retriever Sam, who quite frankly, made a total arse of himself. It's one of those toe-curling forced reality TV interactions that just makes you want to dig yourself a hole, get in and stay there until you're too old to remember it.
Kem Cetinay
Love Island's Kem Cetinay appeared in the first episode of series 2 of Celebs Go Dating for approximately 40 milliseconds in a VT; he was one of the prospective ‘regular member of the public’ daters and we would've jumped on him. Literally jumped.
Kady McDermott
Love Island Season 2's Kady McDermott has been trying to make Celebs Go Dating work for a while now, but has faced a few clashes and rejections. Kady told The Sun, "Celebs Go Dating I was going to go on that, I think I got dropped for someone else."
She added, "Last year I was going to but I didn’t want to, the one that just went they emailed my management but it wasn’t the right timing and stuff,"
