The pop group were originally formed in 1997 after Claire Richards, Ian "H" Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee and Faye Tozer all responded to an advert in The Stage newspaper.

It's safe to say the band was a success with their songs including 5, 6, 7, 8, Tragedy, and It's The Way You Make Me Feel.

However Steps fans were devastated in 2001 when the band split so we've had a look back at everything they've done post-Steps.

Despite splitting in 2001, Step reunited in 2011 despite just Claire saying a reunion would be "silly" just days before the announcement.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Lisa admitted there's a gap in the market for the band: "Times have changed, but we are in a recession and Steps' music was very light-hearted and fun, so there could be a place for that in today's society.

"What else is interesting is that there aren't any boy/girl pop groups out there at the moment, so there's definitely a gap there."

Following the bands reunion they went on tour, made several TV appearance and released a fragrance.

in 2012 they went on a hiatus but five years later reunited and reportedly recorded another album in summer 2019.
