Stacey Solomon was sent dozens of well-wishes from fans as she revealed she had suffered a shock health scare during her luxury family getaway to Jamaica over the New Year.
Telling fans that she had turned grey as her temperature rocketed following flu-like symptoms, the mum of five said she was rushed to hospital where she was placed on an IV drip and oxygen mask.
While she reassured her followers on social media that she had started to feel “normal” again after recovering at home in Essex, an insider tells Closer that the family drama has left friends concerned the influencer’s hectic schedule is posing a serious risk to her health.
The source says, “Stacey has had a lot of people extremely worried about her. They feel that she is running on empty most days, because her life is just so chaotic with everything she’s juggling – pushing herself to be the perfect mum, wife and successful business woman.
“It’s like she pressed pause and her immune system broke down. It’s really scary and she has admitted that she needs to rethink her crazy schedule.
“She had just been pushing herself far too hard in the run-up to Christmas and her health took a nasty turn for the worse as a result.”
There’s no doubt that Stacey, 34, had a busy 2023. After giving birth to her daughter Belle in February, she returned to work just two months later – admitting to fans that she had a “manic” few months ahead as she filmed for her TV series Sort Your Life Out and new show, Bricking It.
She said at the time, “I just can’t do it all, I can’t do work, school run, kids, breastfeeding – it’s just impossible.”
On top of that, Stacey also detailed her 5am workouts alongside her ongoing DIY projects at Pickle Cottage, the home she shares with husband Joe Swash and their six shared children – Harry, 16, Zach, 15, Leighton, 11, Rex, four, Rose, two, and 11-month-old Belle.
But, the source says, Stacey fears losing fans if she drops her “super mum” image.
They add, “She’s built her brand on DIY and being thrifty at home, presenting herself as relatable, yet also a super-mum who can do it all.
“But now Stacey has said herself that this has been a wake-up call, and her friends feel the same way. They’re all begging her to try to slow things down this year and not try to rush through everything.
“She has promised herself and her family that she’s going to do the best she can to take a step back and take better care of herself.”
