It all kicked off between Rylan and Love Island’s Chris Hughes at the Specsavers' Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards last night
Last night, the Katie Price/ Chris Hughes beef stepped up a gear, as Rylan Clark-Neal (team Katie, natch) almost came to blows with Love Island’s Chris Hughes on the red carpet!
The altercation – which was witnessed and caught on camera by Closer Magazine Showbiz Writer Lily Smith – took place after a journalist asked Rylan: “How do you feel that Olivia Attwood called you Katie Price’s lap dog?”
Just at the moment (honestly, you couldn’t have planned it better), Olivia Attwood and boyfriend Chris Hughes walked onto the red carpet.

At this point, the usually jovial Rylan stopped the interview, and went directly to Olivia to ask her why she’d labelled him Katie’s lap dog!
According to observers, Olivia seemed ‘confused’, and the pair were chatting calmly.
However, moments later, protective Chris squared up to Rylan, and sensing trouble, some PRs jumped in to separate the two.
Olivia was then heard to say that she, Chris and Rylan would ‘have a little chat’ later.
Well! Who knew there’d be such drama at the Specsavers' Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards?!
This is the latest escalation in the on-going war of words between Katie Price and Chris Hughes.
The fall out started back in September, when Chris told OK Magazine that Katie had been sending him flirty messages.
Katie then quickly hit back, taking to Twitter to say: ‘Met @chrishughes_22 once on Loose Women and with @oliviajade_att at the football. Sorry to disappoint you all no flirty texts got sent.’
However, Chris then seriously upped the ante by releasing screenshots of messages between the pair – a move many people saw as undignified and immature.
In recent days, Katie has once again hit back hinting that she has screenshots of her own – something Rylan confirmed on This Morning.
Katie’s good friend, said: "I don't get involved in this, but she has asked me to say that she has 52 screenshots of messages between her and Chris Hughes from Love Island.
“That is all I'm saying on the matter, she asked me to say it, I don't want to add fuel to the fire.
"He was adamant he hasn’t sent any messages. Her exact words: 'Yes, confirm, 52 screenshots I've got and the truth will out.’”
So, will this latest confrontation on the red carpet be the end of the saga… or just the beginning? Guess we’ll have to wait and see…
