TV presenter Richard Madeley has revealed that he was also prescribed Tramadol - but only took it once before flushing it down the toilet.
The prescription drug has been in the news a lot recently after Ant McPartlin bravely revealed his addiction to it and sought help in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
Richard, 61, made the admission whilst presenting Good Morning Britain, which he is covering over the summer whilst regular Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan take their summer holiday.
Whilst reporting on the happy news that Ant will be returning to I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! later this year after some speculation, Richard asked his co-presenters whether they had taken the painkillers before.
When they both shook their heads, he said: "When I broke my arm earlier this year they gave me Tramadol. I took one and threw the rest away.
"They make you feel really weird then I researched it and saw how addictive they were and I just flushed them down the loo - they're bad news".

Ant recently gave his first interview since leaving rehab, telling The Sun: "It was insane. It sends you crazy. It was to the point of hearing things, seeing things in the garden and still the pain was getting worse.
"I was at the point where anything – prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs – I would take. And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous.
"The doctors told me I could have killed myself."
Well done to Ant for having the courage to speak up about his problems.
