Ant McPartlin has received support from many people since admitting his addictions to prescription drugs and alcohol, as well as suffering with his mental health.

Including Lorraine Kelly, who described the drug Tramadol as "seductive" on her show when Ant's revelation first came to light.

But it has now been revealed that the 41-year-old Newcastle native has received support from none other than Prince Harry - who has recently been championing mental health along with his brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.

Ant, who has recently spoken out about his problems for the first time since entering rehab, told The Sun about the letter.

He said: "I woke up this morning, getting ready to come here, and was given an envelope.

"It was a handwritten note from Harry sending all of his best wishes on behalf of him, William and Catherine and telling me well done for speaking out. Obviously he leads the Heads Together charity, so it's something he encourages.

"I wish I'd spoken out a lot earlier. But what a great time to get that letter. Brilliant. Thanks, Haz."

What a wonderful gesture from the royals!

Celebrity journalist Dan Wootton, who was the one to interview Ant, revealed all on Lorraine this morning.

Dan said: "Ant finally feels ready to tell the world his story. When you go through rehab, you learn there's a really important part of acknowledging you're an addict, acknowledging that this is something you'll have to battle with for the rest of your life - but also, talking about depression."

He went onto explain about the letter from Prince Harry: "When I saw Ant, he had just received a handwritten note from Prince Harry, congratulating him on the fact that he was going to be speaking out about mental health and male depression.

"Ant was going through all of this - addiction to prescription drugs, drug and alcohol binges that left him having psychosis until 5am, clinical depression to the point where he couldn't leave bed.

"He didn't tell a soul. He didn't tell his wife, he didn't tell Dec, he didn't tell his bosses - and he now realises how crazy that was and wants to help other people speak out."

We're sending all our best wishes to Ant!
