Ferne McCann has made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her pregnancy

We don't know about you, but it's lovely to see Ferne McCann looking happy again.

Attending the Pride of the North East Awards ceremony in Newcastle with her close friend Vicky Pattison last night, she was glowing as she showed off her tiny baby bump on the red carpet.

Wearing a silky orange halterneck dress, there was just the slightest hint of a bump, and the smile on her face suggested she was starting to put the events of the last couple of months behind her.

Both Vicky and Ferne shared photos from the night, with Vicky writing how happy she was to be back with her friend, and Ferne congratulating the winners of the night - one of whom was brave six-year-old Bradley Lowery, who is battling terminal neuroblastoma, a form of cancer.

Ferne wrote: "Lovely evening with this one Vicky Pattison at the Pride of the North East Awards. All these people are so inspiring, truly humbling."

Vicky wrote: "I love her... And that is all there is to say. My Ferne McCann and I are finally reunited... And it feels so goooodddd!"

Ferne recently gave her first interview about her pregnancy in a very emotional chat with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning.

As Phillip read out the police statement confirm her ex-boyfriend, Arthur Collins', charges, Ferne was visibly trying to hold back the tears.

They soon moved the talk round to her much longed-for baby, with Ferne saying: "Because I'm pregnant, I think that has given me strength and hope to get through this."

She went on to add that her friends and family had been instrumental: "I surrounded myself with family and friends and I've got such a strong support group with my mum and my friends - everyone has been so amazing."

But she soon broke down when the discussion came back round to Arthur, the father of her unborn child: "This isn't how I imagined my first pregnancy to be.

"But it's not about what happened. It is about this baby. I'm going to be strong, I'm going to try and keep it together... I really don't want to cry. My main concern and priority is the baby."
